ED AV ARDS V. DONOVAN. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) NEAV PLYMOUTH, December 14. Setting terrific pace from tlie start and attacking continuously with almost savage intensity. Tommy Donovan, tj'e New Zealand feather weight champion, outpointed young Blew Edwards, the Australian, in a 15 rounds fight lie fore a crowded house here last night. The bout- was full of incident. \ •• Edwards responded magnificently .to the smashing onslaugh of the New -Zealander. He frequently paused in bis retreat to send home both hands in perfect inside counter punches: When Donovan, occasionally, slackened his attack, and gave Edwards a chance to marshall his forces and then with dramatic suddenness Edwards assaulted the New Zealand*.- with a hail of snappy, punches. Donovan, however, gave a superb display - of- rugged fighting, aml clever boxing. In the close work lie was too powerful for his young, but clever opponent. Several times, Edwards was warned for holding by the referee, Mr R. N.en le, and once he yoiced liis resentment of that official’s attentions.
