The forty-ninth annual report of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Coy. states that there lias been a nett loss for the past year of £47,338 17s; lint, after deducting the price received from “realisation of war loan,” £11.365 14s, and the amount carried forward from last year and adding the dividend paid at the half year, the balance at debit in the profit and loss account is £41,756. The directors propose to transfer £49,000 from the general reserve to the profit and loss account, which will then show a balance of £7244. which tlmy propose, should he dealt with as follows:—Pay a further dividend of 3 per cent (£6375), and carry forward £869.
