HASTINGS, November 29
A very severe frost was experienced in Hastings and its suburbs this morning. Much damage was done to the potatoes, beans, etc. The orcliardists were on the alert, and they had fires going, so that not much damage occurred to fruit. UNIVERSAL COUPON TRADING. WELLINGTON, November 29. The Advisory Board of the New Zealand Federation of Drapers and Clothiers and Boot Retailers discussed the question of universal coupon trading yesterday, and it was decided to co-operate with the Associated Chambers of Commerce in approaching the Government with a request that such systems should be abolished, and that, if necessary legislation should lie introduced to give effect to the request. . _ ; m DECLINE IN MEAT.
