A prominent labour leader refers to Pool burn dam accident as an instance of (public works carelessness. He alleges that the supports to the trestle which collapsed were light rails while the cross members were too weak for the structure above the place where the men wero working. On Tuesday a high wind caused the structure to crash throwing the men into the gulley while the men on the floor were caught in the wreck.
The favourable progress of the injured in Dmistan Hospital is reported but the condition of William Mason (injuries to spine) and G. Creighton (internal injury, broken shoulder blade and fractured ribs) is still sorioilri.
