MEAT STRIKE
NO SETTLEMENT. (Australian Press Association) (Received this da vat w am' SYDNEY, Nov. 19. Attempts to settle the meat strike in Sydney are not yet successful. The efforts are continuing. SYDNEY, Nov. 19. Justice Piddington’s efforts to settle the strike have failed, chiefly oh the ground that the strikers declined to give a guarantee of continuity of operations.
The employers are now going ahead with their application for tion of the meat employees union, which embraces slaughtermen. The estimated value of the ‘."port trade already lost is £120,000 sterling
