BANKERS CONFER.

MELBOURNE, November 17

Executive heads of the principal banks in the Commonwealth- under the chairmanship- of Sir Robert Gibson, met to consider plans to ensure the success of the conversion loan of twe n ty-ei gh t- m i 111 on s. The bankers later met Mr Lyons and Mr Hogan (Premier of Victoria). Mr Lyons said the meeting discussed the blacking of the banks, which would.be necessary for the success of the loan. The hankers meet again to-day.
