WOMAN DROWNED

AUCKLAND, Nov. 14
A married woman, Mrs Lynda Hart, aged nlmut 35, of jSilverdale, , was drowned while crossing a.deep creek near Silverdale, about four o’clock this afternoon. Her body was found floating in the water by her husband, a farmer, who had come to meet her. There are no children.
The deceased, who lived about two miles on the Wade’s Head side of Silverdale, was returning to her home with some purchases. The creek, which runs to Wade River, is about a mile from Silverdale. It is crossed by a very narrow wooden foot bridge, with a wire railing on one side. It is. thought that Mrs Hart lost her footing, and fell into the creek. The body had a bruvse on the forehead. -
BOY INJURED
AUCKLAND. Nov. 14.
Serious injuries were received bv a six-yea r-old boy, Desmond Picker, when he was knocked down by a motor-car in Wellington Street, Freeman’s Bay, this evening. His ■ condition at a late hour was critical. The boy was running across the. road .towards his 'home when the accident- occurred. A DOUBLE FATALITY. >

A verdict iri? accordance with the medical evidence, waA returned at. the inquest at Phtea tetday '.WmHenry Moore, aged 24, of { /Hawera, and his father. Wm. Sturock Moore, aged 55, of Blenheim, who died at Patea Hospital subsequent to the capsize of a car near Moumahaka on September 15. Moore Junior succumbed the following morning to a fractured skull. Moore Senior died on November 12 from, myocardial degeneration, accelerated by the shock of the accident.
