FOUND DEAD. (By Telegraph—l’er Press Association.) AY ISLINGTON, November 9. 'l'lie body of Thomas Edward Shirt, aged d(), single, was recovered from the Wellington Harbour yesterday morning. The body of the deceased was seen floating quite near to the Queen’s Wlmrf. Officials who recovered it found the throat had been cut. Deceased was employed as a packer at a bacon factory and resided at 37 Arthur Street. Tie was last seen when lie left his lodgings on Saturday evening. A SERIOUS CASE. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 10. Alleged (by the police to have been ioiind in the streets with a loaded revolver, Thomas Edward Lionel Kelly, twenty-three, appeared before Mr Lawrv, S.M., to answer a charge of demanding money with menace from Timothy Ryan witli intent to steal. Accused was remanded until November 18th, Kelly was also remanded on a charge of carrying a revolver without lawful excuse, 'Hie circumstances of the case were not revealed but when Mr Ea&celles asked for hail, -Sub-Inspector O’Hara objected. He said that the matter was iserious as accused was found in the streets with a loaded revolver. Bail was grainted £IOO.

Evidence «.t the resumed inquest on Noah Elverline Forgeson, known as Carlyle, a married woman with two children who died at Winch-more on October 16th, showed that an instrument had been used by deceased who had been employed as housekeeper on a farm, One witness, a voumg man, was severely cross-examined as to procuring the instrument and drugs. A verdict, according to the medical evidence, that death was due to air embolism interfering with the circulation of ihe blood was returned.

PALMERSTON North, November 9. William Scliiavi, aged seventeen years, was admitted to the hospitol suffering from gunshot injuries to the fingers of the right hand, sustained in the accidental discharge of a gun. His condition is reported to be satisfactory.
