PLACING OF WREATHS

(Received this dav at 12.26. p.m.l LONDON, Nov. 9.

Armistice Sunday was celebrated by many memorial services and sermons throughout Britain. Sir John Salmond placed a wreath on, the Air Force memorial on the Embankment in the presence of Australian, Canadian and New Zealand representatives, the last named also placing a wreath on the memorial, after which a two minute silence was observed.

An Australian holder of the Victoria Cross. Keysor, with Private White, T.C., placed a wreath on the Cenotaph in memory of British Jews after leading a march of three thousand Jewish ex-servicemen,
