At Aslifield motor speedway, Spencer Stratton broke the world’s recoid for the quarter-mile, his time being seventeen and three-fifths seconds. Ho won the final in the Ashfield Cup Handicap of four laps in 1.16 2-5, which is a record. He then won the final of the same event in 1.18 4-5. He competed in the Gold Star scratch race of three laps, and finished second to Tommy Benstead, whose time was o—--3-5 sec., which is a world’s record.
