ART UNION WINNER
ORDERED TO PAY MAINTENANCE. AUCKLAND, October 18. An order for niaintenance in respect of herself and her- children was granted Olive Lilian M’Coll against her husband, Angus M’Coll, in the Magistrate Court at Hamilton. The parties agreed to separate at Hamilton in Jury, 1928, defendant to pay £3 a week as maintenance, hut counsel said that defendant left Hamilton early this year without letting his wife know where lie was going. Some weeks age lie won £2OOO the first prize in the New Plymouth art union. He gave his wife £IOO in Feihling and let her see cheque butts which showed that he had spent £SOO of the £2OOO in about three weeks. Maintenance orders of 30s a week in respect of the wife and 15s for each child were granted. The Magistrate directed that £4OO lie deposited with the Public Trustee as .security.
