FOR DESPICABLE ACT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association ’ AUCKLAND,, October 18. William John Wilson, .aged 3P, A, labourer, was fined £SO to-day .for .attempting to obtain a passport under an assumed name. Tfie police saidl that Wilson’s wife had left for England, six months ago. Last month be applied for a passport for himself and for his alleged wife under the name of 'oT'ewart. The police found that the woman was a widow, and that they were going to leave behind two children, who would both have be-, come a charge oh the State.
