FRENCH TOUR OF AUSTRALIA, (United Prim Am Deration—By Meotrio Telegraph-—Copyright). PARIS, Aug. 28. The French Rugby authorities are not accepting the New South Wales, invitation for 1931. The dates are over early to allow of the completion of the French .championships. They have offered to go in 1932. TO-DAY’S TEST. KEEN INTEREST AT SYDNEY. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Aug. 29. Unusual interest is being taken in to-morrow’s Rugby test, Britain v. Australia. The weather has lately been like spring-in its warmth. A bumper crowd is expected. Lawton, the Australian captain, says his men are bubbling -over with confidence. He adds : “It does not matter which side wins, so long as a game worth seeing is staged.” The Britishers are equally confident of victory.
