CUT IN SALARIES

BRISBANE, Aug. 2
An immediate reduction of six per cent in public service salaries, affecting about eleven thousand employees, and saving the Government £375,000 sterling yearly was made by Justice Webb in the Industrial Court. He refused to reduce railwaymen s wages.
