TROTTING BOARD

WELLINGTON, July 7
At a meeting of the- Trotting Board it was decided there was not enough evidence to justify placing Arachen, Auckland, on the schooling list, owing to behaviour-at the barrier. The Board was advised that Great Author’s time in the Victoria Park Handicap at Greymouth was 3.37 2-5, an error having been made owing to the wrong number being displayed”.
The Board approved of the dismissal of a charge of interference against L. O. Thomas driver of Lady Pan at Christchurch on June 3rd.
The Ashburton decision in reversing the placings in the Longbeach Handicap on June 14th. was endorsed. A life disqualification of T. B. Mortimer, of Southland was lifted, on the strong recommendation of a number of clubs.
G. Milligan was fined' £2 for failing to notify transfer of Bluewood, after being repeatedly requested to comply with the rules. ■
Messrs Williams, Harley, Armstrong and McKenzie will be re-elected to the Board as there are no other nominations.
