WASHINGTON, July 3
The United States Department of Commerce announces a considerable decrease of the American foreign trade. It .states, that the first quarter of 1930'indicates a thirty per cent, decrease in the exports to Australia, or a decline of 11,632,000 dollars.
The reports adds: “Severe decreases in imports to the United States were • From Australia, 50 per cent., chiefly wool; and from New Zealand, 40 per cent., as compared with the similar period of 1C29.
NAVAL TREATY.
WASHINGTON, July 3
Wiith the adjournment of both House of Congress to-night, it was announced that President Hoover will call a soecial session of the Senate on Afondav to consider the London Naval Treaty.
CANADA’S ECONOMIC SITUATION
DISREGARD OR WHEAT POOL ACETHODS.
WINNIPEG, July 4
■Frank Oliver, a member of the Canadian Board of Railway Commissioners, speaking here declared Canada’s entire economic structure was shaken to the foundations through the disregard of well established business principles in wheat pools method of handling crops. He said the princbles in nool marketing failed in their purpose.
