The National Peace Council of New Zealand, and also representatives ol viirions (bodies, the JProsbyteriain Imrch. and the League of. Nations’ "nion, waited on Hon. G. Forbes Prime Minister to-day, to ask that ‘n the overhauling of the Defence system, the Government should remove from it the compulsory element. Hr Forbes replied in both cases
Hint the Government was still considering the problem of defence, nad its intentions would later be outline'll o Parliament.
