NELSON’S MATCH.

TIMARU, June 27
Dr. Adams,. President of the New Zealand Rugby Union, and Mr H. H. Leith, n member of the committee of the New Zealand Union, were tonight approached regarding the position of the Nelson match, but neither had any statement to make in the meantime.

The 1930 New Zealand Rugby League Football team, which is visiting Australia this season, sailed bv tlie Ulimaron for Sydney to-day.
The team will play the first match of their tour against the New South Wales reps, at Sydney, on Saturday July 5,
THE TIMARU MATCH

TIMARU. June 28.
The football match is evoking great interest and it is confidently anticipated that the attendance will aggregate ten thousand. The British team practised yesterday and all the members are showing great proficiency. After a. hard overnight frost excellent weather conditions are assured The ground .is in Excellent condition and everything points to an interesting game.
