KINGSFORD SMITH

Interviewed after arrival at Croydr)ii, Kingsford Sui/ith said he was convinced that the dear old bus, S utnern Cross, would not let him down. The monoplane was better than ever. There would be two Britishers, one Dutchman , and one irishman aboard, who were splendid fellows. The monoplane would take off from Ireland when the weather was suitable. He estimated there would be thirty-five hours living and they would have three hours in reserve. Kingsford Smith intends flying from America to Australia in time for his marriage in September. He added: “That will bo my greatest and best venture.” (Received this day at 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, June I.'
Kingsford Smith hopes to take off at the end of June, his destination being Roosevelt Field, New York, then to San Francisco, where upon bis arrival he will have completed a world circuit.
