At Dublin Crawford (Australia) heat Maguire (Ireland) „ 6—l, 66—4. Moon (Australia) beat Rogers 4—6, 2—6, 6—3, 6—2, 12—10. Rogers (the Irish giant of seventynine inches) led Moon s—-1 in the final set and had five set points, but the Australian ■ put up a great fight to win eventually.
At Regents Park Ohta (Japan) beat Mohan (India) 6—2, 7—5, 6—4. Harada (Japan) beat Charanjiva 6—3, 6—3, 6—l. NEW YORK, May 15.
At Philadelphia in the opening singles of the match, United States v, Canada in the Davis Cup, the round was stopped by heavy rain with Van Ryn leading Wright 6—2, G_B, 3—6, s—o and deuce. The match will be resumed on Friday.
