CANBERRA, May 16
The Senate by 22 votes to 6, agreed to a motion by the Leader of the Qp}positionj; Mr Pearce, for the disallowance of regulations providing for a single picking up place for union and volunteer wharf labourers in Melbourne.
TAX ON WAGES
MELBOURNE, May 16.
The Unemployment Relief Bill has passed through the Assembly. It provided for a stamp tax on wages and salaries of from £1 to £6 sterling pel' week and a super tax oil incomes exceeding £312 sterling por year.
