• r .ti-j; TO-DAY’S EVIDENCE. | (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.^ AUCKLAND, May 15. In the Munn case, the cross-ex-amination of Dr. Dudding continued throughout the afternoon. He said Mrs Munn would have been well enough to be taken but of bed between the Thursday and the Monday. She was physically able to get out of bed and return to bed. Mr Meredith, referring to a suggestion that it might have been possible for Mrs Munn to get ! out of bed, asked whether, in the light of subsequent knowledge, witness still held that opinion. Witness said he never really pul the matter to the test. * Regarding Munn’s manner over his wife’s death witness said he was struck by Munn’s matter of fact, and he did not seem at all worried. He was also struck by Munn’s manner during the illness. At this stage the hearing was adjurned till to-morrow. The Crown has a further fifteen witettesses to call, many of whom are medical men, and the trial will extend well into next week./' 1 May 10. On the fifth day, evidence was given this morning by F. .W-,, 0. Johnston (chemist) who " supplied the ‘ accused with one drachin of strychnine, on Nov. 25 for the purpose of poisoning rats. There were no new features about the evidence. He said he> also supplied medicine to Mrs Munn on Dr Dudding’s prescription. There was no possibility of strychnine entering that medicine.
