’PLANE REPAIRED

RANGOON, -May 15. Miss Johnson’s plane was repaired and is being towed to Rangoon 1 racecourse where a test flight will be made this afternoon. If successful sho will resume her flight to-morrow. Dio weather here is fair, but beyond is ver bad.
Interrogated, she said to beat Hinkler’s record (by a day was quite impossible, but it was possible by flying hours.

DARWIN, May 15
Excitement grows here over the prospects of the early arrival of Miss Amy Johnson. The Mayor, Mr Lucfls is »arranging a civic reception, lihd the Victoria League Is preparing to entertain the visitor during he stay. The Government Resident Commissioner is taking no part as the flight is an unofficial one.
GOING TO SYDNEY

Although yesterday’s cables from Rangoon stated Miss Amy Johnson intended to make a return flight from Darwin within a fortnight, advices received in Sydney to-day declare she is coming on to Sydney.

PARIS, May 15

MELBOURNE, May 10.Pilot Office Rae, of the Royal Australian Air Force, was engaged in acrobatics over Point Cook ill a British Bulldog plane when the wing appeared to collapse. RANGOON, May 15
The plalle, JaSolt, was brought, after repairs at tnsein, to Rangoon racecourse -shortly before dusk. Miss Johnson intends making a test flight at seven in the morning after which she will leave for Bangkok bofoie ten. Though she is still worried by the disappointment of failing in the object of her flight, owing to the loss of two days, caused by the mishap, she is now more cheerful. She is also hopeful of successfully completing the rest of the journey.
