PALMERSTON N., May 16
Thomas Melrose, 19, and Nelson flayers, 20, who pleaded guilty of breaking and entering the premises of r T. Ireton, jeweller' of Cuba street, appeared before Chief Justice Myers at the Supreme Court for sentences. Melrose was admitted to probation for two years, special conditions being that he repay within three months halt the 'damage to the ‘windows and also half the costs and keep away from hotels. Myers was cortimtted to the Borstal Institution for two years with a suggestion that his case be considered before the usual period.
