DEATH FROM A FALL

AN UNUSUAL CASE,

AUCKLAND, May 5

An inquest was opened by Coroner Hunt, into the death of Le^’is Bernard Tester, aged 18., who died live days-after he fell 10 feet down a lift well at a factory at Ne.wmar k"t. He continued going to his em plovment until last Friday, when ho complained of pains in the head. After remaining in bed. until Sunday morning, he died at his home. Deceas'ed’s mother stated that when her son came home from work 'n<o Tuesday, he said he had had a slight accident, having fallen down a lift well. He went to work on Friday afternoon. He said he had a severe headache. On Saturday morning at one o’clock' lie said his head wa.s still'aching, and at 1 p.m. the c °mo dav witness called Dr Petit. T, m deceased remained in bed all Saturday. In addition to the head hehe.' the deceased had complained o’ his hack since the accident. He died at 7.4 jon Sunday morning.
