Mr A. Henderson-, (Foreign Minister) had a lengthy conference with the Austraian Chancellor, Doctor Scnoher, who later received representatives of the press and . explained that Austria was, now free to negotiate a loan, which was necessary for productive developments to promote industrial activity. Austria was ready to lower its ..tariffs,;as soon as possible, and was anxious to adopt a foreign trade policy in accordance with any liberal system in Europe. It could not be expected that , a weak country like, Austria could set an example. He laid stress on the traditional Anglo-Austrian friendship,.
