SPEEDWAY TRAGEDY.
MAN KILLED

SYDNEY, April 22
At the Tenhith Speedway during a car race, Frank Peterson, aged 25, was killed instantly and his companion thrown clear with minor injuries. Peterson was driving at 63 miles an hour when a tyre came off and his ear overturned. Ho was terribly crushed.
MOTOR CYCLE RECORD. SYDNEY, April 22
The world’s record was made in a motor cycle side car race for one mile by Edward Dark, whose time was 48 3-5. It was, three seconds better than the late Albert Byrne’s at Toleda (Ohio).
