REFERENDUM PROPOSALS
CANBERRA, April 5
In addition to the present referendum proposals now before the House of Representatives, which seek to give the Government power to alter the constitution at will', and also additional industrial powers, the Prime Minister has launched a third proposal giving the Commonwealth complete powers over trade and commerce.
GOLD INVESTMENT
-SYDNEY, April 5
The Sydney Commonwealth Bank has arranging for the further exporting of eight millions sterling in gold overseas. This makes a total of twentyfour millions exported from, Australia since July 1929. The general object was to relieve the exchange cut. The most is being used for interest obligations.

A FORCED LANDING
CANBERRA, April 5
A plane, carrying the .Governor-Gen-eral. Lord Stonehaven, returning from Adelaide, made a forced landing as a result of engine trouble in a paddock near Grouug Grong. The landing was excellent without mishap to the passengers or machine. Lord Stonehaven continued his journey by car.
