ONE TAKES POISON.

AUCKLAND, March 23,
A constable recognised a small car driven by two boys as one that had been reported as stolen. As the boys did not heed his order to stop, he jumped on their car and took charge. He had the ear driven to the police station, where they were both left in a loom for a riro'iheh.t while the con-
'.'V.a’j’e nonsuited the Sergeant-in charge. When lie returned, he said, one of the boys was in the act of drinking from a bottle, the contents o. which were poisonous. He snatched the bottle from the boy’s hand, and rushed the hoy to the hospital, where is now recovering. They will later be brought before the Children’s Court.
