The strained relations which existed between Tibet and Nepal for sometime over the arrest and subsequent death of a Nepalese subject in a Tibteran gaol, ended in Dalai Lama apologising to Maharaja, the Government of India having acted as intermediary. It was thought at one time the incident would lead to a rupture of diplomatic relations between the two hill kingdoms.

Gandhi’s campaigners are nearing the sea coast. When crossing a river, which was flooded, they had to wade through water and mud nearly three miles. Gandhi crossed in a boat.
