GOING TO EMPIRE GAAIES’

WELLINGTON, March 10
The British Empire Games Committee decided to-night that the £IOOO given by Canada towards the funds of the New Zealand team of athletes to compete at the British Empire Games at Hamilton, Canada, next August, he allotted to the equipment and expenses of the Dominion Rowing Eight. it was stated that the other branches of sport had foregone their share of the money in order to make it possible to send a rowing eight.
