NO CONFIDENCE IN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. '

SYDNEY, Feb. 11.
The Labour Party Conference passed a resolution practicalv amounting to a vote of no confidence in the Federal Government. It recommend." the commandering of the coal mines, disarming the police, prosecuting the coal mine owners uud Cabinet Ministers, and paying the unemployed miners the basic wage aggregate. The meetings were convened bj the rank and file. The conference for to-day was abandoned owing to the Miners. Federation decision to hold the meeting of representatives of all northern lodges at Newcastle. This is regarded as a set back foi South Maitland militants, and some lodges are expected to attempt ti break away from'the Federation. STATE POLITICS. SYDNEY, Feb. 11. The State Parliament reassembled to-day and it is believed may have to adjourn two or three days because the Premier and the Treasurer must attend the financial conference at Canberra and the Opposition mat refuse pairs. HELP OF THE BANKS TO BE SOUGHT. CANBERRA, February 9. More help ik to be sought from the banks in an effort to solve the Commonwealth’s financial problems. Mr E. G. Theodore stated to-day that representatives of all the banks bad been invited to meet Mr Stevens, the New South Wales Treasurer, and himself at Canberra next Thursday to discuss the subject.
