ENGINE-DRIVERS’ ACTION. (Australian Press Association) (Received this dav at 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 28. The Federal Engine-drivers and firemens Association decided to withdraw from the Labour Council in New South Wales. This-is regarded as a most important development- concerning the coal dispute and a decided blow at the faction led by J. Garden; Secretary of the Labour Council. Equally significant was the resolution carried expressing gratification at the efforts of the Prime Minister (Mr Scullin) in attempting 'to settle the problem. TWO FISHERS DROWNED. BRISBANE, January 28. While fishing on a sand spit at McKay, three men were cut off by the rising tide. Two of the men, Simpson and his son, ivere drowned. Another man was rescued by fishermen. Simpson attempted to swim to the shore and disappeared.
