N.Z. TOURNAMENT

The Bowling Tournament was continued to-day in fine weather. The rinks and singles competitions were concluded.
In the finks final, St. Kilda rink skipped by D. Stuart, beat another rink from the same Club, skipped by G. Adess, by 25 to 9. In the singles final, F. Lambeth' (Balmacewun) beat P. Vance (Sumner) by 21 to 16. The tournament will be concluded to-morow, when the pairs competition, in which four players remain, will be finalised. * CANADIANS AT BLENHEIM. LADY VISITOR’S ACCIDENT. BLENHEIM, January 24. Tbe Canadian Bowlers arrived at Blenheim from Nelson this afternoon and were informally welcomed by the local bowlers. Mrs J. F. Ford, one of the visitors met with a very painful accident on the way from Nelson to Blenheim this morning. The top of one of her fingers being cut off through the slamming of a car door. Her 1 stoical behaviour while the injury was attended by Dr. Weston Krupp, was the admiration of the party.. This afternoon the visitors were .welcomed on.•the Marlborough green by Dr Haskell,. President of the Marlborougii',’Centre, and Mayor M. Mc'Kehzie. A friendly game was played against representatives of various clubs, a feature being a pairs match between two of the lady visitors and two ladies of the Marlborough Club. The weather was delightful. .
