The result of the hundred yards State Championship in the Domain Baths was : Cecil Light (Sydney) 1, I). Wilson (Bondi) 2, F. Dovle (Sydney) 3, W. Cameron (New Zealand) 4. Other starters were: A. Besomo (holder of the title), and H. Robertson. At the 75 yds Cameron looked like a certain winner when Light and Wilson pushed forward and fought out a great finish, with the others hard upon them. Light won hv a wonderful dash in the last 15yds, and landed home a winner by a yard, the rest finishing almost in a bunch. Time 57 1-5 secs.

In the half mile women’s swimming championship of New South Wales at Coogee, Edna Davey (Sydney) won from B. Joubert (Lismore) and P. Perry < Manly i by 65yds, in 12.49 3-5. Her time for five hundred yards (7.7) was one and a fifth seconds better than Fanny Durack’s Australian reI'ovil Edna’s time for the 'full distance however, was nineteen seconds slower than her own Australian record. DUNEDIN. Jan. 13.

The Otago Centre, two mile harbour race for the Batt Cup on Saturday was swum under boisterous conditions, only four of the fifteen swimmers finishing. The winner was Miss M. Mathieson off 17 mins, whose time was 1 hour 7 minutes 4 seconds. The fastest time, for the third time in succession, was gained by Bailey, 56 minute's 2 seconds. Bailey who was selected to represent Otago in the Annette Kellerman Cup has signified he will not be available.
