AIR CRASH
THREE MEN KILLED

The Air Minisry has announced that two Avro ’planes collided at Abusuier training school, Egypt, plying Officer Galpin and two Aircraftsmen were killed. MELBOURNE AIR TRAGEDY. FURTHER PARTICULARS. SYDNEY, Jan. 9. It is now learned that a Point Cook pilot, who was circling in a Moth ’plane over the scene of the Widgeon crash, saw a man floating on the wreckage half an hour after the occurrence. He recogised the figure as Aircraftman Ewen, and swung his plane round to come down with the intention of plunging near the wreckage, as Moths will float for a time. He meant to swim to the man on the wreckage, hut as he went to come down he saw the figure slip from the wreckage and sink.-., Searchers on the beaches yesterday recovered two floating caps from tiltrocks near Alona. A small quantity of wreckage was also found. There is no trace, however, of the bodies. A search of the sea and beach is being continued for several days by ’olanes.
