ADVOCATED FOR BRITAIN. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] LONDON, .Jan. 5. Lord Rotliermere’s paper the Sunday Pictorial, states that Lord Rotliermere’s newspapers will to-morrow inaugurate an economic policy for a, restoration of prosperity. The policy is to be based on high tariff protection for British manufacturers and workers, but no food taxes, there being substituted for food taxes subsidies for the benefit of the farmers and the farm workers. Lord Rothermere holds that such State subsidies would easily be payable by means of a reduction on what lie considers to be extravagant expenditure on social services.
