The judicial authorities accompanied by one hundred and fifty factory Workers, simultaneously raided eighty-five shops, where they arrested ninety-five traders, and confiscated two million roubles worth of copper, dyes and other goods; which the traders, allegedly, had received illegally from State Co-opera-tive trading organisations. The arrested traders will be charged with bribery. It is expected that criminal charges will be preferred against the dealers. The police are making increasing nse of the workers’ voluntary assistance for searching the homes of suspected tax defaulters.
