STORE DESTROYED BY FIRE (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Dec. 21. Gartner's General Store, at Gloucester, was destroyed by fire. The damage is £12,000. The Gloucester Hotel, opposite, caught alight but was saved. SHIPBUILDING. SYDNEY. Dec. 31. Drastic changes in the shipping policy of the Federal Government is forecasted. The proposal will be submitted to it caucus, that legislation be passed that all vessels engaged in the Australian trade should be built in \ustralia, the obje-'t being to give an impetus to the ship-buihling industry, which is passing through a period of acute depression. The unemployed will also be absorbed. Another suggestion is the establishment of a line of three vessels for the Tasmanian trade. The caucus will also he asked to establish a passenger aerial service with 1 asinania.-
