The defence force at. Bulawayo was called out during the week-end to quell a native tribal disturbance. Matabeles resent- the presence ol Manicas in native locations, alleging they me depriving them of jobs and interf'erring with their wives. .Uatnbelos organised an attack resulting in two deaths; two dangerously wounded and fifty injured. lints were demolished and contents burnt. The outbreak was widespread anil the police were unable to cope with it. Europeans were not molested.
