A TRAMWAY ACTION.
WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. Holding that there had been no breach of the terms of Clause 8 of the Industrial Agreement, made between the two parties, Mr Page, S.M., in the reserved judgment, dismissed a claim made recently in (he Magistrate’s Court by the Wellington Tramway Employees’ Union against the Wellington City Corporation, for two £lO penalties in respect of Motorman Lee and Conductor Jurgenson. who, it is alleged, had been employed longer than five hours without meal relief.
MAORI LOSES PROPELLOR. (HIMSTCII CROfT, November 29. While crossing Cook Strait last evening the s.s. .Maori lost one blade of the starboard propellor. causing a reduction in speed. She was a hundred minutes late in reaching Lyttelton and was berthed with the assistance of a tug.
