In the afternoon a big open air function was held by the Convent Old Girls’ Association, at which commemorative medals were presented to the ladies who had been present at the laying of the foundation stone. In the evening at the Sacred Heart School, the Old Girls and the St. Anne’s Guild made presentations to the Nuns, in recognition of the work being done at the Convent.
