WHEAT SURPLUS
CANADIAN POOL’S DIFFICULTY
[United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.]
OTTAWA, Nov. 27
The annual report of the Canadian Wheat Pool indicates that the gross turnover for the year is two hundred and eighty-eight million dollars, or a reduction from the previous year of thirty-five million dollars. The reduction is due to the carry over of wheat.
The Pool exported a total of one hundred and eight million bushels, the largest shipments being to the United Kingdom, comprising thirty-four million six hundred bushels.
The efforts to establish an agency in Europe; particularly in the United Kingdom, so as to stabilise a fair price, have been unsuccessful, so the report states.
