A BURGLARY

SAFE BLOWN OPEN

WAIPUKL'RAU, Nov. 22

Late last night or early this morning the railway station was burglariously entered by means of . forcing a window from the platform. There is no doubt an expert had been at work, as explosives were used with success in forcing open a large safe, the inner casing being blown into a tangled mass. A luggage sack was used to deaden the sound, A fuse was applied to the keyhole of the safe. Two cash boxes are missing, containing cheques and notes for a substantial amount also silver and four pounds in pennies.
