The House adopted" a resolution to adjourn the special session of Congress to’-hiorrow, ' which’ with the previous similar decision by the Senate postpones all further business until the regular sessions commence on December 2. This means indefinite delay in the action regarding the tariff measure as the short remainder of the special session is expected to be occupied with other matters. 'There is no present indication when such action is likely to be. resumed.
Air Hoover conferred with leading industrialists including Ford. Ti ev agreed not to reduce wages dm.up the present financial readjustment.
Ford went even further, in'a statement following the conference, He aaid they must' go up. It is generally felt that the great calamity that could happen at this time would he to cut wages, thereby decreasing the normal purchases of the average family.

Ford later announced he had decided on an immediate wage increase at his plants.
STOCK EXCHANGE SEAT,
NEW YORK, Nov. 21
A Stock Exchange seat sold for 340 thousand dollars, which is 144 thousand below the previous sale.
