Thousands of refugees are pouring into Hankow from the war regions, bringing the war feeling nearer the population. Chiang-Kaishek is,massing a hundred thousand men on Hunan border, td check Kuomimhun’s advance on Hankow.
It is now definite that unless Chiang halts Kuomiiiehun immediately, Huong will fall, compelling the Government to retreat' to Nanking. Government forces in the south were forced to abandon Wuohow. following an onslaught of Ironsides’ army. Nanking Foreign Office announces the intention to issue declaration abolishing extrality on January Ist. 1930, irrespective of the wishes of the Foreign Governments.
