r ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALEI The entry of stock for yesterday’s fixture at the above yards was slightly below that of the previous fixture, hut apparently sufficient for butchers’ requirements. The prices recorded were equal to those of last sale and varied very little, if at all. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co’s entrv comprised 42 head of cattle which were sold as follows:—-On account of Perry and Co. 2 bullocks at £l7 7s fid, 2 at £~> 17s 6d, 4 at £ls 7s fid, 2 at £l4 7s fid, 2 at £l4 ss, 2 at £l4 2s fid, 2 at £l2, On account T. A. Condon, 1 bullock at £l9, 2 at £l7 17s fid, 2 at £l7 2s fid, 2-at £lfi ss, 2at £ls 7s fid, 2 at £14.155, 3 at £l3 17s 6d, 2 runners at £5 10s, 1 at £4 7s fid, 1 cow at £j.4, 1 at £9 ss, 3 heifers at £l6 2s fid. At the usual fortnightly sale held at the above yards; yesterday our entry consisted of 42 head of fat cattle and 53 fat sheep, Owing to* the smaller yarding of cattle, prices showed an advance, on those of the previous sale, of about 40s per head, ox beef realised 50s per. hundred on an average and cow beef from 45s to 48s per hundred. We sold as follows :
On account of T. Staines 49 fat sheep at 295, 4 ewes...with lambs at 22s 6d, all counted; on account of Misses Gumming 3 bullocks' at £lB 10s, 2 at £l7, 2 cows at £l3 7s 6d, 2 at £ll 10s, 3 bullocks at £ls 15s; on. account of Wm. Cummings 1 cow and 1 heifer at £l2 10s, 2 bullocks at £2O 17s 6d, 2 at £l7 2s 6d. 3 at £l9 2s 6d,"3 at £lB 10s. 1 at £l6 ss, 2 at £l9 los, 2 at £lB 10s, L,eow at £l4, 1 bull at £4; on T. McNeill 2 'cows at £ls 2s 6d, ,2 'bullocks at £lB 17s 6d, 1 at £2l, 1 /at £2O, 1 at £l9 12s 6d, 1 runner at £8 12s Gd; on account of Mrs Toker 2 cows at £ll 17s 6d; on account of J. Havill 1 cow at £l4.
