there will be no first aid class to-night. The usual weekly social to have been
held in St. Mary’s Club Rooms this Tuesday evening, has been postponed owing to the inclement weather conditions.— Advt.’ Yesterday afternoon at St, Andrew’s Hall Mrs Hewitson was entertained by the ladies of the local branch of the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union. Mrs A. B. King, (president) presided, and after Mrs Rule (of Christchurch) had spoken, Mrs Hewitson gave a very entertaining account of some of her travels. Mrs Hewitson’s remarks were grouped Under the heading of “Three Holy Cities’’—viz. Jerusalem, Rome and Benares, representing Judaism, Christianity and Hinduism. The address was followed with much interest and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. Solos were sung by Mrs Parkhill and Miss Davidson, and a duet by Mrs Simpson and Miss Davidson. Miss Doris Stevenson acted as accompaniste. Hay fever promptly relieved and remedied with “Nazol”—a safe, sure remedy. 60 doses for Is 6d.—Advt.
