For the Spring Meeting of the Waikato Racing Club there was fine hut windy weather, with the surface drying fast but still holding. The attendance was large. The totalisator handled £30,083 against £27,200 for the first day of last year, an increase of £2883. Results:— Wnimai Hurdles.—(2) Master Roley 1, (12) Waka King 2, (10) The Lamb 3. Half a lenrrth each way. Time 2.40. Trial Plate (First - Division). —(2) Billing Chief 1, Toh'oia 2, (14) Thurnus 3. Won by two lengths; six - lengths. Yl’inie 1.16.

Waikato Cup.—(l) True Blood 1, (3) High Pitch 2, (2) Black Maire 3. Won by a neck; two and a half lengths. Time 2.11 3-5.

Chuidelamls Handicap.—(3) Sir Russel 1, (6) Owairaka 2, (8) Hakanoa 3. Won by one and a half lengths each way. Time 1.44 1-5. Bonnie Marjorie, which failed badly at Canterbury Park a fortnight ago, after running consistently for some time, was the subject of one of tin* greatest hostile demonstrations seen for years, when she won the Flying Handicap easily yesterday.
