“Sporting Life’s” correspondent “ Hazard ” says McConaehy is credited with saying in an interview in Manchester that if a free agent he would not hestitate for a moment entering for the chamionship, hut he is under contract, and could only fulfil engagements made for him. “Hazard” comments that if McConachy, and presumably Lindrum and Smith, cannot enter the championship because of contracts, they should be released.
